Sporting and Oil Industry Forum

The Sporting and Oil Industry Forum, facilitated by the North Dakota Energy Forum, is a gathering of sporting, wildlife and conservation groups and energy companies that share information and discuss energy development, wildlife, and habitat in North Dakota.

As home to both an environment which supports a vast array of sporting and outdoor activities and an abundance of energy, discussion surrounding the coexistence of wildlife, habitat and energy development in North Dakota is of crucial importance.

As part of the Sporting and Oil Industry Forum, outdoor groups and energy industry representatives have conducted roundtable discussions and presentations, and have created working committees to communicate information and promote opportunities to work together on potential wildlife and habitat enhancement projects.

Sporting and Oil Industry Forum Projects Committee
The Sporting and Oil Industry Forum has created a Projects Committee to formalize the management of habitat and wildlife project applications.  The Projects Committee, comprised of outdoor groups and industry representatives, reviews projects applications, evaluates each project, and presents projects to the Sporting and Oil Industry Forum for potential interest and participation.   The execution of a project is up to the participating groups and companies to decide if they wish to engage.  Participation is voluntary, and submission of a project does not guarantee participation.
